The NightSaver 16 charges your home battery during your cheap night-rate window, then automatically supplies household demand from that stored electricity during expensive daytime hours.
Installation cost not included. Arrange installation and commissioning with your REC. SolarBoss handles the standard NC6 administration using the details and declarations you and your REC supply.

You can apply with or without solar panels. Our “grant loophole” reel explains the difference, including when a BER is needed.
For eligible home battery installations of 5kWh or more. Receive SEAI approval before installation and use an SEAI registered Solar PV Contractor. A post-works BER is required where solar PV is present. Other scheme conditions apply.

This hybrid system stores grid electricity. You do not need a PV array or plans to install one. The hybrid inverter also has two MPPT inputs for future solar panels, which are not included.
1 low-voltage LFP battery pack with 15.27kWh total manufacturer-stated usable battery energy, an IP65 enclosure and WiFi/app monitoring.
Charges the battery from the grid and converts stored battery energy into electricity for your home.
Your REC configures charging around your cheap tariff window. 2AM–6AM is an example, not a requirement.
The battery supplies household demand within the inverter's output limit. Any extra demand is supplied by the grid.
SolarBoss prepares and handles the standard NC6 paperwork for this package. Electrical installation remains separate.
An illustrative example, built around your usage
Example tariffs of 8.5c/kWh at night and 35c/kWh during the day. Approximately one full useful battery cycle every day, with conversion losses and battery degradation included.
Assumes the selected battery capacity can be charged and used in full every day under the example tariffs.
Installation excluded. Savings are illustrative, not guaranteed. Net benefits subtract the selected equipment price, before delivery, installation, maintenance, replacement or finance costs.
Includes modelled battery degradation.
Cumulative savings against the selected equipment price.
| Year | Average battery health | Annual saving | Cumulative saving | Net after equipment |

Selected usable battery energy when new: 15.27kWh. Each selected battery provides 15.27kWh manufacturer-stated usable energy. The model assumes 93.9% AC-to-battery charging efficiency and 93.8% battery discharge efficiency, using the Solis published maximum figures as illustrative assumptions, not guaranteed operating efficiencies. Conversion losses reduce the energy delivered to your home and increase the grid electricity needed to charge the batteries.
Annual savings = usable battery energy × (day rate × discharge efficiency − night rate ÷ charge efficiency) × 365 × average modelled capacity. The model uses an illustrative assumption of 70% remaining capacity after 8,000 equivalent full cycles; this is not a warranty or a prediction of the selected battery’s service life. It models degradation linearly for illustration; actual degradation may differ. At one equivalent full cycle per day, 15 years is approximately 5,475 cycles, with about 79.5% capacity at the end of year 15 and about 80.2% average during that year.
Tariffs stay fixed in this illustration; there is no export payment, standing-charge saving, inflation, battery replacement, delivery, installation or financing allowance. Not every home can charge or use a full useful cycle each day. Consider your daytime consumption, cheap-rate window, household demand and charging limits.

Yes. It is an hybrid battery system that charges from the grid. No solar panels or PV installation are required for the night-rate use described here.
It depends on your usage. The selected package has 15.27kWh usable battery energy before conversion losses. The inverter supplies up to 5kW rated output; the grid supplies demand above that limit or when stored energy is exhausted.
No. The example assumes a full useful cycle every day at 8.5c/kWh night and 35c/kWh day, with conversion losses and modelled degradation. Lower utilisation, different rates or additional costs will change the result.
No. €3,047.97 + VAT (€3,749.00 incl. VAT) covers the selected equipment and standard SolarBoss NC6 paperwork/admin. Electrical installation and site-specific work cost extra. Delivery is calculated at checkout for the selected pack and fulfilment locations.
The hybrid inverter has a backup output, but backup circuits require separate REC design, wiring and commissioning. Whole-home backup installation is not included in this equipment package.
You need a tariff with a sufficiently low charging rate compared with the daytime electricity you avoid, after allowing for conversion losses. Check your provider's rates, cheap-rate times and any tariff conditions.
