Overview

The Solis S6-EH1P5K-L-PLUS is a 5kW single-phase, low-voltage (40–60V) hybrid inverter designed for homes and small commercial sites wanting PV + battery storage + fast backup. It provides 2 MPPTs, supports generator input, offers dual backup ports (critical / non-critical loads), and delivers a <4ms switchover to keep essential loads running during an outage.

The Solis S6 5kW 1-phase Hybrid Inverter (S6-EH1P5K-L-PLUS) is built for modern self-consumption systems where installers need flexible PV design, reliable battery performance, and robust backup behaviour.
PV input (2 MPPT – flexible string design)
With 2 independent MPPTs (2 strings total) and a wide MPPT range of 90–435V, the inverter supports common residential array layouts across multiple roof aspects. It accepts up to 500V DC max, starts from 90V, and is sized for up to 10kW recommended PV array (with 8kW max usable PV input power).
Low-voltage battery integration (40–60V)
Designed for LV batteries, it supports Li-ion and lead-acid with CAN / RS485 communications. On the 5kW model, maximum charge/discharge capability is 5kW with up to 112A charge/discharge current, making it suitable for high-power cycling and backup operation on LV storage systems.
Backup power that behaves like a proper backup system
For outage scenarios, the PLUS platform provides:
Automatic switchover < 4ms for seamless transition to backup supply
200% overload capability for 10 seconds (backup)
Dual backup ports to separate critical and non-critical loads
Generator compatibility to extend backup runtime
Option for multiple inverters to operate together as a microgrid
Grid performance and efficiency
On the AC side, it delivers 5kW rated output (single phase L/N/PE) with >0.99 power factor and <2% THDi. Efficiency is strong, with 96.2% max efficiency and 96.1% EU efficiency.
