PhotonWrap A1 Non-Combustible Membrane

Description

PhotonWrap-A1: A1 non-combustible to BS EN13501-1 , the same fire classification as Stone wool, Glass wool, Concrete and Bricks!

Due to a recent change in regulations, UK fire testing laboratories are not currently able to issue fire classification certificates for new Solar PV modules. To comply with building regulations, any product that forms part of a roof covering and is in direct contact with the roof sub-structure must hold a certain fire classification. This is relevant to roof-integrated systems where the PV module forms part of the roof covering. An alternative means for an installer to achieve a fire rating is to use a substrate with an independent fire rating (for example a barrier material with A1 rating) beneath a roofing kit/module combination that does not have a declared fire rating.

PhotonWrap A1 holds full fire classification status and can be used as a barrier material to retain appropriate system fire classification. It is still important for the installer to be able to independently verify that the system achieves sufficient rating as a whole.
