A high performance residential solar and storage system built for serious energy savings and reliability. This setup combines 20 ground mounted solar panels with the GoodWe ESA 5 kW all in one hybrid inverter and an 8 kWh LiFePO4 battery, delivering excellent self consumption, smart energy management, and seamless whole home backup power.
The ESA integrates inverter, battery control, and UPS level switching in a single robust unit suitable for indoor or outdoor installation, with <4 ms switchover during power cuts and efficiencies up to 97.6%. Designed for true whole home backup, the system can power the entire property during outages subject to sensible load management, keeping your home running with minimal interruption.
Whole Home Power Outage Protection
Power cuts are not rare events anymore, recent storms in Ireland have caused widespread outages for hundreds of thousands of customers, and that is exactly where this system shines. When the grid drops, the ESA switches so fast that most homes will not notice the change, meaning your essentials like lighting, refrigeration, broadband, and heating controls can keep operating while the street outside is dark, subject to how your backup circuits and loads are set up. For extra resilience, it also includes a built in generator connection so a backup generator can be integrated if you want extended runtime during longer outages.
Scalable battery capacity allows future expansion as energy needs grow. Fully supplied, installed, and commissioned by an SEAI registered installer, making the system grant ready and future proof from day one.
Why 9 kWp of panels on a 5 kW inverter?
The GoodWe ESA platform is built to handle heavy PV oversizing, up to 200 percent, so you can install a larger solar array without needing a larger inverter. That extra panel capacity helps you produce more energy in the morning, late afternoon, and on cloudier days when each panel is producing less than peak output.
