JCB IG2000 2kW Petrol Inverter Generator

The JCB IG2000 is a compact petrol inverter generator for lighter outdoor electrical loads, from camping equipment to portable tools. Its 1,800W running figure applies to sustained operation, while 2,000W is the stated peak allowance.

The 79.7cc four-stroke engine starts by recoil and supplies 230V AC alongside 12V DC and USB outputs. With a 5-litre tank and a stated runtime of up to 4.5 hours, it is designed for relatively short periods away from mains power.

The unit weighs 18kg, making it easier to transport than larger wheeled generators. Check device ratings carefully, particularly for equipment that draws a short surge at startup.
