A Dyness PowerBox G2 can appear dead because it is asleep, because its external DC breaker is not in the commissioned operating position, or because the battery-management system has stopped output during protection. The front indicator provides the safest first clue:

  • A green flashing "D" logo after start-up means the battery has entered standby.
  • A steady red light means system protection.
  • A flashing yellow light points to a communication problem.
  • No indicator response after a normal wake request needs installer investigation if the external controls are already in their handed-over operating positions.

Dyness says the PowerBox G2 can enter dormant standby after more than 72 hours without an external load. That can be normal. However, no output with a red light and buzzer is listed as a low-battery-voltage symptom, and no output can also arise from breaker status or system configuration. Do not guess which one applies by cycling switches repeatedly.

Confirm the exact model and symptom

5. Observe the commissioned breaker position - do not experiment
