Description
The Eddi 2.1 is an advanced energy management system designed to optimize the use of surplus power from your solar or wind turbine setup. Instead of exporting excess energy to the grid, Eddi diverts it to heat water or rooms, maximizing efficiency. It supports two heaters, typically for top and bottom immersion. A grid current sensor, which clips around the incoming supply cable, monitors excess power and Eddi automatically adjusts the voltage to the heater load.
An internal expansion interface allows for additional functions such as auto-switching between day-time and night-time supply, interfacing with heat pumps for legionella control, and temperature sensing. The optional ELS module makes Eddi suitable for G100 compliant Export Limiting Schemes, helping to avoid costly grid network reinforcement. Utilizing myenergi’s VariSine™ technology, Eddi ensures compliance with global power grid standards.
The Relay & Sensor board, available as an option, offers versatile wiring configurations with two independent multi-function relays (16Amp), an eSense input for low tariff detection, and two temperature sensor inputs (PT1000). These relays can be set independently for various functions or operate as a pair, providing flexible and efficient energy management.
